Woman arrested for hit-and-run

San Luis Obispo police have a woman in custody for allegedly colliding with a bicyclist last week and then running from the scene.

The incident occurred on Jan. 22 on Tank Farm Road at the Marigold Shopping Center around 11:15 a.m. According to SLOPD, they received a call regarding a a traffic collision between a vehicle and bicyclist near the entrance of the shopping center. Police say Ernie Brink, 68, of San Luis Obispo sustained moderate injuries and was transported and admitted to Sierra Vista Hospital.

Brink reported the vehicle that collided with him sped away from the scene.

According to SLOPD, the driver of the vehicle is identified as Dina Yassin, 27, of San Luis Obispo. Investigators say the vehicle that struck Brink was recovered and impounded. Yassin was arrested and charged with felony hit and run. She was booked at SLO County Jail and her bail was set at $50,000.
