Glendora Man Arrested Following Craigslist Sale Robbery

A Glendora man and his alleged accomplice were behind bars Thursday afternoon following their arrests for allegedly answering an ad for a laptop’s sale on Craigslist and robbing the seller.

Tremarri Evans, 21, of Glendora was arrested Thursday morning and his alleged co-conspirator, Azusa resident Melanie Blanks, 20, was arrested Wednesday, while being investigated for allegedly running after her vehicle slammed into a building.

The two are suspected May 28 of luring a Hacienda Heights man to a Covina home, Covina police Sgt. Jim McDonough told Patch over the telephone.

“The victim receives a call. They set up this location, making the victim believe that’s where they live,” McDonough told Patch.

When the victim arrived, Evans allegedly sprayed the victim with capsicum oleoresin and wrestled the laptop away from the man, the sergeant said.

Investigators were aided by a discarded pepper spray canister.

“We also had phone numbers because of the communication between victim and suspects,” the sergeant told Patch.
