Burglars Caught Red-handed, Three Arrests Made

Wayne Lyle VanSickle, 56, and Philip Mark Andreas, 34, were caught red-handed as they were burglarizing a home in Gerber, Tehama County.

Tehama County sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Highway 99 East in Gerber at 10:30 p. m. They found VanSickle and Andreas removing things from the home. The two were reportedly staying at the home without permission and, as per the owner’s statement, the items they were taking out did not belong to them.

Both suspects were arrested for burglary and booked into Tehama County Jail. Andreas is being held with a bail set at      $53, 000 while the details on VanSickle’s arrest are unknown.

Along with the burglars, deputies arrested a 20-year-old woman, Loren Marie Thompson, after they found her in possession of unprescribed prescription drugs. Though she was not reported to be participating in the burglary, she was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and is booked into Tehama County Jail with her bail set at

$15, 000.
