Police Hunt for Rapist

The Paso Robles Police Department is searching for a rape suspect who allegedly attacked a local woman on Saturday around 6 p.m.

According to PRPD, they were contacted by an adult female victim who reported she had been the victim of a sexual assault.

The victim told police the incident occurred on the day before on Saturday around 6 p.m. at her residence in an apartment complex on Cary Street.

A lone male suspect followed her into her residence as she returned from completing an errand. She said the suspect sexually assaulted her and left the residence.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries as a result of this assault and was subsequently treated and released.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, approximately 30 years of age and clean shaven. The suspect reportedly has a tattoo of a spider on the inner part of one of his forearms and was last seen wearing tan pants, a gray sweatshirt and a black baseball cap with white stripes.

Police say the suspect in this incident is similar in description to a suspect who committed a sexual battery on Friday, October 19 at approximately 10:45 a.m. in the area of Navajo Avenue and Crazy Horse Drive.

According to PRPD, in this incident, the lone male suspect followed an adult female victim who was walking alone. The suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks and when confronted claimed it was an accident. The suspect followed the victim for a short time and was last seen walking away westbound on Crazy Horse Drive. The victim returned home and contacted the PRPD. An extensive area check was conducted but the suspect was not located.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Paso Robles Police Department Investigations Bureau at 237-6464. Persons wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 805-549-STOP.
