Man Tries to Lure Teen Girl into Vehicle

The Paso Robles Police are looking for an adult man who tried to lure a lone teenaged girl into his vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

According to PRPD, they received a report regarding the incident that occurred on the 2100 block of Oak Street at approximately 3:20 p.m.

Police say the victim is a 13-year-old female who told police she saw a male subject near a vehicle which appeared to be having mechanical problems.

The victim said the subject asked the victim for help starting the vehicle while he worked on the engine. She advised the subject her father was nearby and kept walking.

The victim then said she heard the subject’s vehicle starting up, but she kept walking away and did not see which way the vehicle went. She went directly home and told her father about the incident.

At this point the victim, accompanied by her father, went to PRPD and reported the incident.

Police say the subject is described as a white male adult in his 50s, approximately 5’4” tall, thin build with curly white hair. He is clean-shaven and described as wearing prescription eyeglasses. He was last seen wearing a light-blue short-sleeved shirt and light-colored blue jeans.

The subject’s vehicle is described as a white or light-colored full-size extended-cab pickup truck, which was clean in appearance. The truck was further described as having light tinting on the windows with no obvious body damage, identifying marks or stickers.

The PRPD has identified a suspect in this incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say due to this fact, the suspect’s identity is not being made public at this time.

The PRPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying anyone else who may have had similar contact with this suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call PRPD.
