Vallejo man crashes car, arrested for alleged DUI

A Vallejo man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of driving under the influence after colliding into a car, police said.

At 11:50 p.m., Vallejo police responded to a call involving a two-vehicle collision. The collision occurred in the area of Georgia Street and Columbus Parkway, police said. When officers arrived, they determined that one of the drivers involved in the incident, Christopher Brown, 28, was intoxicated. This was based on him failing a field sobriety test, police said.

Police determined the other vehicle involved in the collision was driven by a woman who appeared to have only suffered minor injuries from the collision. This was not due to the accident itself, but rather to her airbags deploying on impact, police said.

Brown was not determined to be injured from the collision, police said. He was arrested for and booked into Solano County Jail, police said.
