Police release composite sketch in Sacramento sexual assault

SACRAMENTO — Police have released a composite sketch the man responsible for a sexual assault near Jacinto Creek Park nearly a month ago.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 29, 2009, the adult female victim was walking on West Stockton Boulevard when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect grabbed her and dragged her to an area near the park on the corner of West Stockton Boulevard and Melville Drive where he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect was described as white male, 30 to 35 years old, 6’2” in height and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He had thin shaggy brown hair and was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue baggy jeans, and white tennis shoes with a black stripe.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
