Interstate pursuit ends with arrest, search for other suspect.

ROCKLIN — (Dec. 16) A 30-year-old North Highlands man was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property after a high speed pursuit Tuesday afternoon.

According to Rocklin police, their officers responded to the call of a vehicle burglary behind Long’s Drugs at 4785 Granite Drive in Rocklin. Officers found the suspect vehicle in the area, discovering it had been reported stolen recently out of Roseville.

The suspects fled the area, entering Interstate 80 westbound and attempted to evade Rocklin police several times. The suspects’ vehicle collided with a tree near Atlantic Street in Roseville.

Both suspects fled on foot but the passenger, Timothy Simmons of 9001 Bruce Lane, North Highlands, was arrested with the assistance of Roseville police officers. He was booked into the Placer County Jail.

Police are still searching for the driver.

In a media release, the Rocklin Police Department stated that they believed Simmons and the other suspect may be connected with other thefts in the Rocklin area. Anyone with any information regarding this incident or any possibly related thefts is requested to contact the Rocklin Police Department.
