Roseville police arrest Granite Bay teens for drive-by shooting

ROSEVILLE (Nov. 6, 2008) — Roseville police arrested two teens suspected of involvement in Wednesday’s drive-by shooting of a teenager.

Justin Mathew Wittkop, 18, of 4580 Northglen, Granite Bay and a 17-year-old female from Granite Bay were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy. Wittkop is being held without bail in the Placer County Jail, and the juvenile was booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall.

According to Roseville police, two groups of teenagers got into an altercation outside and inside a fast-food restaurant in the 8600 block of Sierra College Boulevard.  The restaurant manager stopped the fight and one of the groups left.  The other teens left the restaurant 20 minutes later and were standing  near Sierra College Boulevard when a silver sedan cruised by. Shots from a handgun were fired from the vehicle, striking one of the teens, a 16-year-old male from Roseville.  He was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
