Sac Sheriff Makes 48 Total Arrests During Prostitution Stings

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department made a total of 48 arrests thanks to prostitution operations conducted in the Sacramento area in August, according to an official press release.

Sac Sheriff’s South Patrol Problem Oriented Policing (POP) team reportedly conducted two separate prostitution operations along the Stockton Boulevard corridor that reportedly resulted in 29 arrests for individuals engaging in the act of prostitution. A list of suspects arrested was not available at press time.

And the department’s North Area POP team reportedly held an operation along the Watt Avenue corridor, which resulted in 19 arrests — eight arrests for loitering for prostitution, six for engaging in the act of prostitution, and five for related crimes involving drugs, paraphernalia, or outstanding warrants.

The following is a list of those arrested in the north area and their charges:

  • Domenick Allen — 266H, 266I, 3056 PC

According to Sac Sheriff, these stings were held in response to ongoing complaints from the communities in these areas regarding illegal activity and acts of prostitution. The Sheriff’s POP team says without information from community members regarding ongoing illegal behavior, they would not be able to begin to enforce permanent results to these issues.

Sac Sheriff asks the public to continue to report crimes in progress through the Sheriff’s dispatch number of 916-874-5115. Ongoing neighborhood issues can be reported by contacting your local POP Officer or reaching out to patrol area commanders through Nextdoor.com.
