Roseville PD Arrests Suspects in 2 Car-Related Crimes

A total of three suspects are in custody following two separate incidents where the suspects were involved in suspicious activity around vehicles that did not belong to them, according to a recently weekly crime report issued by the Roseville Police Department.

On Wednesday, October 8 at 7:15 am, someone on the 1400 block of Rocky Ridge Drive reported suspicious activity — a car alarm had sounded and a man was seen carrying a bag and running away from the car. Officers arrived on scene and searched the area, finding the suspect hiding in a nearby parking lot. The suspect reportedly had a new first aid kit, phone cables, and other small items that the officers suspected had been stolen from an unlocked car.

Officers then found the suspect’s pick-up truck located nearby, and upon a search found it contained other suspected stolen items, including two mountain bikes and a car stereo. The items were reportedly booked for safekeeping, pending someone’s reporting them stolen.

Kristopher Robert Stowe, 25, of Granite Bay was arrested on suspicion of prowling on private property and delaying officers. Records show Stowe was in trouble with the law at least once before. He was arrested in 2008 for vandalism with over $5000.00 damage.

Then between 1 and 3 pm on Friday, October 10, a victim reportedly found someone had stolen his MacBook and wallet from a possibly unlocked car in the Johnson Ranch Racquet Club parking lot in the 2500 block of Eureka Road. The victim used an application that allowed them to find their iPhone or laptop, and reportedly found the location of his laptop to be in the vicinity of a house in the 9300 block of Orangevale Avenue in nearby Orangevale.

The suspects were tracked to a home on Orangevale Avenue in this neighborhood.

Officers were called to the scene and found the residents of the home were on searchable probation. Officers reportedly conducted a probation search of the house and found the victim’s laptop and wallet. Additionally, officers were told by witnesses that a man had run away from the house, jumping over fences. Officers searched the area with the help of deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and a CHP K9 officer, and soon apprehended the fleeing suspect.

Pavel Igor Pozdnyakov, 20, of Citrus Heights was reportedly arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possessing stolen property, and Kassandra Angelina Roberts, 30, of Orangevale was reportedly arrested for outstanding warrants with drug-related charges. Pozdnyakov has been arrested recently, in August, for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, and in November 2013 for burglary. Reports show Roberts was charged early this year with possession, transportation, and possession for sale of controlled substances, and false impersonation. And like clockwork, she has been charged each year in the fall of 2010, 2011, and 2012 for possession of a controlled substance.
