Suspect May Be Related To A Second And Third Incident

HOLLISTER—Once again investigators with the Hollister Police Department are looking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect who broke into ‘Community Pantry’ on San Felipe Road.

On Monday October 13, just after midnight, Hollister Police responded to the ‘Community Pantry’ on the 1100 block of San Felipe Road because of a burglary alarm activation.

When officers arrived they located an open door on the side of the business. Officers searched the interior but found no one inside. An investigation revealed that an additional door had been forced open on the opposite side of the building.

The investigation did not reveal if anything was taken. Officers reviewed surveillance video which does reveal an image of a suspect in this case. Police have released the video images in hopes that the public can help identify him.

“The Suspect in this case is also a possible suspect in an attempted vehicle theft earlier in the evening that occurred on the 400 block of San Felipe” Hollister Police Officer Bo Leland wrote in a press release. “He may also be involved in vehicle theft that was reported later on San Felipe Road, in the unincorporated part of San Benito County.”

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Hollister Police Department and speak with Officer Leland at 831-636-4330, ext. 151. People can remain anonymous by calling the WeTip Line at 800-78-crime. Information provided to WeTip may qualify for a reward.
