Los Angeles Student Arrested for GTA, Trailor Theft, Etc.

HAWTHORNE, CA—Back in the day, kids used to say, “School is for fools.” Most students would be able to prove this so-called aphorism incorrect, but there are those who elect to fulfill it.

Donna Marie Green, 30, was apprehended by Hawthorne police officers on Thursday, January 22 at approximately 4:30 p.m. along the 3600 block of West 120th Street in Inglewood. The Los Angeles resident, a student whose school was not disclosed, was charged with a number of motor vehicle-related violations and found to also have an outstanding warrant.

She was charged with grand theft auto (487(D)PCGTA, taking a vehicle without owning it (10851(A)VC), attempting to receive stolen vehicle, trailer, vessel or construction equipment (496D(A)PC) and, ironically enough, driving without a license (12500(A)VC).

Bail for the four charges totaled $80,100.

The warrant was issued by Los Angeles Police Department and was for a failure to appear (853.7PC). Bail for that was set at $560.

One guesses that she’ll be enrolled in the school of hard knocks for quite some time to come.
