Lake Isabella Woman Arrested in Bakersfield for Burglary

LAKE ISABELLA — A 59-year-old Lake Isabella woman was arrested in Bakersfield on Thursday for breaking into homes.

Eva Rogers was booked into the Kern County Central Receiving Facility on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property and grand theft of a firearm. She is being held on $40,000 bail.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies following up on a recent report of a residential burglary in Lake Isabella, served a search warrant at Rogers home located in the 2200 block of Commercial Avenue at around 5 p.m. on Sept. 23, looking for stolen property.

During their search, deputies said that they located and recovered a stolen 9mm pistol from within Rogers’ home. Later that day, with the help of metro patrol deputies, Rogers was located in nearby Bakersfield with a a large sum of stolen currency in her possession. She was subsequently arrested.
