If He’s Not Putting in Work, How Has He “Never Worked” for that Gun?

HAWTHORNE, CA—The term “putting in work” is well known among certain “non-working” groups of people for working to clear the streets of hindrances—with whatever means necessary.

Steve Ray Wallace, 51, was picked up by Hawthorne police on Wednesday, March 26 at approximately 7 p.m. along the 14000 block of Chadron Avenue in Hawthorne. The Hawthorne resident was apparently picked up for a number of charges, none of which were prior warrants.

Despite having proclaimed an occupation of “never worked,” Wallace was charged with two counts related to possession of a firearm along with other weapons charges: force or assault with a deadly weapon that is not a firearm, possession of marijuana, owning and/or possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm and felony violation of parole.

Bail for the multiple charges was set at $100,000 for four of the five charges. No ball was set for the parole violation.

Wallace was not available to comment on the plethora of firearms or any other charges.
