PEBBLE BEACH—The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, Monterey Division arrested two individuals on Friday evening at the Asilomar Beach after it was reported that they robbed four men at the Links at Spanish Bay Golf Course in beautiful Pebble Beach.

On Friday at 5:30 pm, deputies were called to the golf course on a report of four men being accosted and robbed of a Bushnell Tour 2 laser range finder. The victims told the deputies that two men also demanded cash from them.

After they stole a Bushnell laser rangefinder from one of the men, the two fled the area on foot. Deputies from the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, Monterey Division put out a “Be On the Lookout” (B.O.L) alert in the general area of the Pebble Beach resort.

Officers with the City of Pacific Grove Police Department spotted a black 1999 Honda Accord at the Asilomar Beach with two individuals that matched the descriptions of the suspects from the Spanish Bay robbery.

The officers stopped 18-year-old Aurelio Camilo Bautista of Greenfield and a 15-year-old juvenile, and questioned them about the robbery. After searching their vehicle, the two were arrested for robbery and other charges as the officers found the stolen Bushnell rangefinder in their possession. They did not, however, recover a knife.

Bautista was taken and booked into the Monterey County Jail and the 15-year-old juvenile was taken and booked into the Monterey County Juvenile Hall. The rangefinder was returned to the victims.
