Driver Gets Numerous Failure to Appear Charges

INGLEWOOD, CA—After failing to appear for a number of charges, why not add drug, child and driving charges?

Javier Eugenio Nurinda, 29, may know the answer to that seemingly odd question. He was arrested on Sunday, August 24 at approximately 3:30 p.m. The Los Angeles resident from Cimarron Street was stopped at the corner of Century and Crenshaw Boulevards in Inglewood for driving with a suspended license (14601.1AVC) and having a toddler unrestrained in the vehicle (27360(A)VC).

A number of warrants were also listed for the 5’9”-tall, 150-lb man: possession of fewer than 28.5 grams of marijuana (11357(B)HS) from the Whittier Police Department and five failures to appear on a written plea (40508(A)VC) from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Bail for the pot charge was set at $30,000 and the LAPD warrants ranged from $1,688 up to $5,000.

It is unknown if the self-professed driver will appear for the new charges.
