Clever gets caught selling pot to kids in treats

A 33-year-old Costa Mesa man has been arrested for allegedly selling pot-laced brownies to minors, according to Costa Mesa police.

Officers launched an investigation two months ago when several high school students got sick after eating the brownies. Some of those students were arrested, and police began searching for the person who distributed the baked goods.

They learned the brownies were being sold by a drug dealer named “Clever,” who had a business card with that name which he would pass out to students. Investigators ultimately learned that “Clever” was Isaac Greer, an admitted gang member, according to reports.

Detectives tracked down Greer and found 50 pounds of marijuana, boxes of brownie mix, scales and business cards in his car and hotel room.

Greer was booked into the Orange County jail on charges of marijuana sales and transportation, sales of a controlled substance to a minor, child endangerment, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
