Bakersfield Drug Lab Busted, Four Arrested

BAKERSFIELD — Three men were arrested on Thursday after police discovered a clandestine drug lab during a probation search in southwest Bakersfield.

Lenis Broadway, 30, and 25-year-old Megan Martin were both booked into the Kern County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of hash oil and manufacturing of a controlled substance.
Broadway was additionally charged with one count of possession of marijuana, while Martin received an additional charge of possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the butane hash oil lab was discovered by the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team (KNET) during a probation search of a residence in the 200 block of Bloomquist Drive in southwest Bakersfield on Sept. 16.

Upon arrival, officers located five individuals inside, along with suspected methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia, hash oil and marijuana. Michelle Gomez, 36, and 36-year-old Joshua Sullivan were also arrested at the residence.

Both were booked into the sheriff’s downtown jail – Gomez for a felony warrant, and Sullivan for possession of a fictitious bill and narcotics paraphernalia.
