Atascadero Juvenile Arrested for Robbery

The Paso Robles Police arrested an Atascadero juvenile for robbery.

According to PRPD, they received a call of an attempted armed robbery on Wednesday around 2:20 p.m. at Centennial Park. The three victims told police a young man demanded money from them. They said the suspect physically assaulted one of the victims and indicated he had a gun.

The suspect was described to police as a Hispanic male, about 16 to 18 years of age who was wearing all brown with blue shoes. PRPD officers requested assistance from CHP and Cuesta College Police. The CHP helicopter spotted the suspect on a walking path between Nickerson Drive and Mohawk Court.

Officers approached the suspect and were able to detain him without any injuries. A gun was not found and police believe the suspect was lying to the victims about having one. The identities of the suspect and the victims are withheld due to their age. However, police say the suspect is from Atascadero and has known gang affiliations.
