Alert neighbor’s report results in two burglary arrests

Vacaville – Aaron Aimison, 19, of Vacaville and Gerell Edwards, 20, of Oakland were arrested Thursday and charged with felony counts of residential burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. They were each charged with misdemeanor obstruction as well.

Did Aaron Aimison and his partner chose Aaron Circle because they liked the name? They must not have counted on the neighbors keeping an eye out for each other.

Early Thursday morning a Vacaville resident called police to report seeing two people in a neighbor’s backyard on Aaron Circle who were acting suspiciously. Officers were dispatched and, while on their way, were informed by the resident that the suspects had forced a back window and entered the neighbor’s home.

On arriving at the scene police immediately began surrounding the house. The suspects tried to escape by exiting out the back and jumping over fences but were caught before they got very far.

Officers then determined a back window had in fact been forced and belongings inside the home had been searched. The homeowner, after being contacted and returning home, could not confirm whether or not anything had been stolen.

Aimison and Edwards were booked into Solano County Jail. Bail for each of them totaled $65,000.
