Fresno Police: Juvenile suspect, 15, arrested on suspicion of shooting 12-year-old

Fresno Police have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile suspected of shooting another juvenile.

Just after 6 PM on November 24, officers responded to an address on Marks to find a 12-year-old shooting victim. The victim was promptly hospitalized and is reportedly in stable condition.

Police say the shooting was a result of an ongoing dispute of some kind between two groups of juveniles, but that there doesn’t appear to be any kind of gang affiliation.

After interviewing witnesses and obtaining surveillance video of the incident, they were able to identify another juvenile, age 15, as the primary suspect and take him into custody.

The gun used to commit the crime was found buried in the ground at another location.
