Caretaker Suspected To Be Involved In Robbery Of Her Client

 

About 9PM on October 1, 2020, the door of a residence on the 1700 block of Norfolk Street was kicked in. The resident was a 97-year old woman greeted by two uninvited males pointing a gun at her in her bedroom. They demanded money, robbed her of her Life Alert, glasses, and a necklace from which her late husband’s wedding band hung. After searching her home for more
valuables, they left.

It was not until the following morning when her caregiver, 27-year old Rubye Price, arrived that San Mateo police officers were notified of the home invasion. Looking at neighborhood security cameras and other information, it was discovered Price was involved. Her boyfriend 26-year old Andre John McBride and their associate, 25-year old Donte Jordan, are the male suspects alleged to have robbed the elderly victim.

McBride was located and arrested in Louisiana. Jordan was arrested in Hayward. And on November 19th , San Mateo detectives arrested Price as she tried fleeing the area in a rental car.

McBride could be charged with first degree robbery of an inhabited dwelling, first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit crime, willful cruelty to the elderly likely to produce great bodily harm or death, and criminal threats. Jordan could be charged with first degree robbery of an inhabited dwelling, conspiracy to commit crime, and willful and cruelty to the elderly likely to
produce great bodily harm or death.

Lastly, Price could be charge with first degree robbery of inhabited dwelling, conspiracy to a commit crime, and willful cruelty to the elderly likely to produce great bodily harm or death.

All three have been booked into San Mateo County Jail.
