“On 11-8-2020 at 12:01 am, officers responded to an armed robbery in the area of Ambrose Dr. and Alisal St.
They contacted two victims who told officers they were leaving a party in the 900 block of University Ave. when they were confronted by four or five suspects who brandished a handgun and forcefully removed the victim’s wallets, cell phones and some of their clothing.
The suspects made statements as to their gang affiliation in the process. The suspects then fled, only to return as the victims entered their car and proceeded to also steal their car keys.
Arriving officers had received descriptions of the suspects and started to conduct an area check when they located and attempted to contact four individuals who matched the description. The suspects immediately fled on foot and started jumping fences in the area. Officers caught David Ruvalcaba (22) in the 700 block of W. Acacia St. The other three suspects were not located.
Officers did find a loaded .40 caliber Glock ghost gun in the area Ruvalcaba was detained. Ruvalcaba was identified as one of the suspects and he was also found in possession of some of the stolen items. He was arrested and later transported to county jail on robbery, weapon related charges and gang enhancement.”
