Chico Police: Car burglary suspect cited, released, allegedly burgles two more cars

“On 10/20/2020, at about 11:26 a.m. Chico Police Officers responded to Chico Natural Foods, 818 Main Street.  A victim reported that a male subject was stealing from their parked vehicle.

Officers arrived and contacted Kaya Jay PRATHERMILLER (9/13/96) nearby.  PRATHERMILLER was arrested for theft from a vehicle and transported to the Chico Police Department for booking.  He was booked and released with a citation to appear in court on the misdemeanor charge.

At about 5:45 p.m. a citizen called from the La Vista Verde Apartments.  Officers responded and located PRATHERMILLER.  It was determined he stole from one locked car and another unlocked car.  He was arrested for vehicle burglary (felony) and petty theft from a vehicle (misdemeanor).  He was transported to the Butte County Jail.”
