Federal Marshals have arrested a man in Florida for his suspected involvement in the fatal shooting of a Los Banos man back in July.
37-year-old Ricardo Herrera Jr. is the primary suspect in the fatal shooting of Raymundo Rubio Salcedo (31), who was found dead on the 800 block of East B Street on July 23.
Police say Herrera and Salcedo were at one point involved in a relationship with the same woman, and that this may have played a role in the motive.
Herrera was quickly identified as the suspect in the shooting and an arrest warrant issued the following day, July 24. Local police detectives coordinated with state and federal authorities to expand the scope of their search.
On the afternoon of October 15, following the discovery that he’d been hiding in Florida for the past several months, authorities arrested Herrera outside a home in Clearwater.
