A Los Banos woman has been arrested in connection to the alleged-DUI traffic collision that resulted in the death of a 66-year-old woman.

Authorities say that, around 7:45 on the night of September 26, the victim was sitting in her vehicle in front of her home on the 1600 block of I Street when a speeding car collided with hers and at least five other parked vehicles. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the speeding car, 35-year-old April Sadie Noriega, and her adult male passenger were both hospitalized with injuries. Investigators later determined that Noriega had been drinking prior to driving that night, and that she’d had a blood-alcohol level of over twice the legal limit.

On October 2, authorities obtained a warrant for her arrest. Following medical clearance, Noriega was booked at the Los Banos Police Department on $250,000 bail.
