“On Friday evening just after 8:00 p.m., FPD dispatch received a report of a theft in progress at the Walgreens on Riley Street.
The caller stated three female subjects filled large trash bags with over $1,000.00 worth of cosmetic products, and fled in a white Nissan Altima. One of our officers located the vehicle heading towards El Dorado Hills on Highway 50. During a high risk vehicle stop, the Nissan fled from officers, leading them on an approximately 20 mile pursuit, reaching speeds over 120mph.
The pursuit came to an end when the vehicle caused a collision on westbound Highway 50 near Watt Avenue, sending a pregnant mother to the hospital (Mother and baby have since been released, and are okay!).
Officers recovered over $4,000.00 worth of stolen merchandise, along with several thousand dollars in additional product stolen from a Walgreens location in Citrus Heights, earlier the same night.
Taylor Ross, 23, Gwendolyn Scott, 23, and Tiera Williams, 18, all of San Francisco, were arrested on multiple felony charges including grand theft, conspiracy, and reckless evading causing injury.”
