Multiple gang members arrested after reports of gunshots on Tide Avenue in Monterey

“On September 22, 2020 at approximately 12:24 a.m., Monterey Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the 100 block of Tide Avenue after receiving several calls of gunshots heard in the area.
Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle occupied by four males parked in a no parking zone. Officers could see inside the vehicle and observed two of the subjects attempting to conceal themselves open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.
The occupants of the vehicle were asked to get out of the vehicle and were identified as Antonio Silvestre 18-years-old of Greenfield, Oscar Silvestre 19-years-old of Greenfield, Jesus Hernandez 20-years-old of Greenfield, and a 17-years-old juvenile.
Officers located two handguns and a high capacity magazine in the vehicle. During the arrest, the subjects related they were gang members, displayed gang hand signs, and used expletives toward the officers.
The three adults were booked into the Monterey County Jail.”
