Attempted Murder Suspect Update: Victim Has Died, Suspect Now Charged with Murder

The San Francisco Police Department sadly announces the death of a man who was assaulted in August in this Facebook story-

“On August 7, 2020 at approximately 9:13 AM, San Francisco Police officers from Tenderloin Station responded to the 400 block of Eddy Street regarding an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, they located the victim, a 75 year-old male San Francisco resident unconscious on the north sidewalk of Eddy Street, just west of Leavenworth. The victim was suffering from apparent trauma and was bleeding from his head. San Francisco Fire Department paramedics arrived and assumed care for the victim and transported him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The victim remained in the hospital due to the injuries caused by the assault. Despite the life-saving efforts of the medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries on August 15, 2020.

Peter Nobles, a 34 year-old Oakland resident, was arrested by Tenderloin Station officers on August 7th and has remained in custody. On September 8th the criminal complaint against Nobles was amended, charging him with murder [187 PC].
