The Galt Police Department tells the story of a recent recent in their town of a woman attempting to burglarize –

“On 08/31/2020, at approximately 0150 hours, Galt PD Officers responded to New Hope Senior Village to a report of an attempted burglary. The homeowner witnessed a female subject attempting to open the front door of her residence.

Officers responded to the scene and located a female matching the suspect description. The female stole another resident’s vehicle and drove it across the parking lot of the complex. The keys to the vehicle were located inside one of the victim’s apartments.

The female was identified as Alicia Perez, 33, of Ramona, CA. She was arrested for burglary, attempted burglary, vehicle theft, and possession of a stolen vehicle. Perez was transported to Sacramento County Main Jail without incident.

After our investigation, it was determined Perez acted alone and no additional suspects are outstanding.”
