The charge is attempted murder. The weapon of choice was a crossbow.

On the night of August 29 35-year-old Michael Raley shot a 68-year-old male with the crossbow while in the victim’s residence in Rescue. The victim was shot in the chest.

Deputies interviewed the victim in the hospital after he was taken there in a private vehicle.

Apparently the victim attempted to intervene in an argument between Raley and another man when the shooting occurred.

Several hours later Raley was arrested and booked for attempted murder.
