Los Banos Police have announced the arrests of two suspects in the fatal May 2020 shooting of 25-year-old Dylan Nicholas Garay.
23-year-old Robert Luis Vazquez of Los Banos and 22-year-old Samantha Alexis Garcia of Dos Palos have been identified and arrested as the primary suspects in his death.
On May 31, 2020, witnesses reported seeing a Honda Civic chasing a Dodge Durango out of a gas station parking lot and onto westbound Pacheco Boulevard, with the Civic’s passenger — later determined to be Vazquez — firing shots at the Durango.
Police say that Garay, the driver of the Durango, was struck at least once, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and veer off the road into a field, where he ultimately came to a stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Vazquez and Garcia remain in custody on suspicion of murder, with bail set at $1 million each.
