FAIRFIELD – Recently one night after midnight, someone was walking around “trying door handles on vehicles and trailers” in the 300 block of Pittman Road. A citizen called 911 to report the nefarious activity.

Officers in the area quickly spotted a suspect, who ran when they got his attention, jumping residential fences.

The perimeter that was quickly set up soon resulted in the suspect’s arrest.

Officers went back looking for the jacket and backpack that the suspect threw down.

Once discovered, officers found burglary tools and nearly an ounce of meth.

One of the trailers that the suspect was messing with had both of its padlock cut and tools removed. The tools were stashed in nearby bushes.

31-year-old Ramon Cendejas Carillo was arrested and booked for vehicle burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance and a violation of his probation.

Carillo was already on probation for assault and theft.
