Santa Rosa man injured after colliding with other car while fleeing from police

A Santa Rosa man has been arrested after reportedly fleeing from a traffic stop and leading police on a pursuit.

Around 2:30 PM on Sunday, August 16, an officer attempted to pull over 30-year-old Julian Miller in the Guerneville Road and Range Avenue area. Miller instead fled from the officer and led a pursuit, at one point clipping the mirror of another car before running a red light and colliding with another vehicle at the intersection of Fulton Road and westbound Guerneville Road.

From there, Miller reportedly fled on foot, with officers pursuing and ultimately capturing him at Westamerica Bank.

Police say that although the driver of the car Miller hit did not sustain major injuries, Miller himself did and will require treatment and medical clearance before being booked.

He faces charges of violation of Post-Release Community Supervision, evading an officer, and hit-and-run with injury, among others.
