A parolee suspect was arrested in Santa Ana after he led police in a vehicle pursuit, which resulted in him hitting another vehicle, as well as the police car.

The three-car collision took place at about 10:30 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2020.  Before the incident occurred, Santa Ana deputies attempted to pull over the suspect, identified as Long Beach resident Simon Bradley Sulusi, in the area of 300 North Harbor Boulevard.  Sulusi did not comply.

During the course of the chase, the suspect vehicle then ran the red light at McFadden Avenue and Euclid Avenue, hitting a northbound sedan.  The collision caused the Sulusi to lose control and hit the police vehicle that was pursuing him.

The Orange County Fire Authority arrived to render medical aid to the suspect, officer, and sedan passenger.  Sulusi was arrested at the scene before all three individuals were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Sulusi has been charged with felony evading, felony DUI, and felon in possession of a firearm.
