Driver hits pedestrian, drives away and later arrested

On the night of August 10 at Wilson Park in the 2300 block of E. Joiner Parkway, a driver struck a pedestrian with his vehicle and drove away.

Officers responded to the 9:00 pm incident and had the victim transported to the hospital.

A description of the vehicle was provided, and officers “developed suspect information” that led them to a Rocklin residence.

21-year-old Maxwell Arreguy was there and was arrested for felony driving under the influence of alcohol and felony hit and run.

The vehicle involved in this incident was towed.

Arreguy’s bail was set at $75,000.
