Three arrested on various charges after Folsom traffic stop

Three people have been arrested on a variety of charges following a traffic stop in Folsom.

Officers pulled over a vehicle on Blue Ravine Road on Sunday, July 29, for expired registration and contacted the occupants, identified as Kiara Wade (30) and Damon Wade (47), both of Sacramento, and Anthony Atterberry (28) of Folsom.

According to a press release, Damon Wade is on probation, Kiara Wade is a previously convicted felon, and Atterberry — who initially gave a false name — has an active felony warrant.

A pat-down search of all three also reportedly turned up a loaded pistol hidden in Kiara Wade’s waistband.

As they searched the vehicle, officers located a backpack containing Atterberry’s identification, ammunition, and a bag of suspected cocaine. At one point, Atterberry tried unsuccessfully to flee the scene.

All three have since been placed under arrest — Kiara Wade on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, Damon Wade for probation violation, and Atterberry on suspicion of possession of a narcotic, providing a false name, resisting arrest, and an outstanding felony warrant.
