Sacramento County woman allegedly set sister’s dog on fire

“Earlier this month, one of our detectives was assigned an animal cruelty case involving Petra (see attached photo) and her sister.

Their two dogs, Titan and Doody, got into a scuffle but were quickly separated.

Afterwards, Petra sprayed an accelerant on Doody and lit him on fire. Doody, a brindle pit bull, will possibly lose both eyes and an ear from the burns and has been in the care of Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation for treatment.

A $500,000 arrest warrant for animal cruelty and arson was obtained and our detectives arrested Petra yesterday! We all love our fur babies and wish Doody well in his recovery.”
