Corcoran Police arrest two after man and woman shot on Van Dorsten Avenue

“On Saturday, July 4th, 2020, at 7:17 PM, Corcoran officers were dispatched to the area of the 2200 block of Van Dorsten Avenue for a report of a male and female who were suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim was shot once in the back and transported to an area hospital. The female victim had been shot once in the face and transported to a local hospital.

Through investigation it was determined the male victim had been shot by Juan Palacios. The female victim was identified as Palacios’ girlfriend, Alexandria Rosario. The investigation revealed Rosario had went to the victim’s residence shortly before the shooting, taking pictures of the residence and the victim’s vehicle in an attempt to lure the victim outside. Once Rosario got back into her vehicle and drove away, the victim got into a vehicle to follow Rosario. As he was following Rosario the victim was shot by Palacios while he was driving down the road. During the gunfire Rosario was struck in the cheek while driving her vehicle.

On Tuesday, July 6th, 2020, at approximately 4:00 PM, both suspects were arrested in the 900 block of Whitley Avenue. A search warrant was then conducted at Palacios’ residence in the 2000 block of Cedar Avenue. Investigators located ammunition which matched to the type used during the shooting.

Alexandria Rosario was booked into the Kings County Jail for the charges of aiding and abetting in a crime, and gang conspiracy. Juan Palacios was booked into the Kings County Jail for the charges of attempted murder with a gang enhancement, gang conspiracy, and assault with a deadly weapon. Their bail was set at $5,000,000.00 each.”
