Officers from the Dixon Police Department responded to investigate a car that was possibly stolen.

Arriving to the 2800 block of West A Street on June 24, they came upon a 2018 Honda HR-V with three people inside. It had been reported stolen nine days prior.

“As officers removed the driver,” the female passenger moved over to the driver’s side and took off in the car.

The female suspect drove into the dead end at the 400 block of Gateway Boulevard. She tried to drive around a police vehicle and hit another one.

She then got out and took off running, dropping a paper bag that contained a firearm that had been stolen out of Sacramento County.

After “a short foot chase,” the female suspect was caught. Another gun with its serial number removed was discovered inside of the stolen car. Meth was also discovered in the car.
