The Amador County Sheriff’ Office was out patrolling one recent morning and came across a man carrying drugs –

“Amador County is a beautiful place to visit and recreate, but we recommend you stay home if you intend to commit crimes.

On June 13th at about nine in the morning, a deputy observed a vehicle that piqued his interest traveling east on Hwy 88.

After completing a registration check, the deputy learned that the vehicle registration was suspended, resulting in a traffic stop.

The deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle and vehicle passenger, Timothy John Charles Sallee.

The search lead to the discovery of 40 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, packaging material and $790.00 in cash.

Sallee was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Our deputies are vigilant and looking for anything that doesn’t look quite right. If your plan is to bring crime to Amador County, we are watching for you.”
