A shooting occurred outside of an apartment complex on the night of June 2. A 45-year-old male victim suffered a gunshot to his upper body.
The victim, still in critical condition, was flown by helicopter out of the complex in the 1900 block of San Luis Street to a trauma center.

Two men approached the victim as he sat outside of his apartment. The suspects shot the victim before fleeing through the complex on foot.
Three days later, 39-year-old Cruz Vasquez Jr. was arrested by the Los Banos Police Department.
The suspect is being held without bail and charged with attempted murder, assault with a firearm, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, burglary tools and revocation of post release community supervision (AB 109).assault
