K9 Deputy Tex Finds 20 Pounds of Drugs During Traffic Stop

On June 5th, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Javier Montoya and his K9 partner, Tex, were patrolling Highway 99 in Tulare.

Deputy Montoya observed a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop south of Cartmill Avenue.

His partner, Tex, alerted him to drugs in the car.

Sure enough, 20 pounds of methamphetamine were confiscated from the vehicle.

Rosa Montenegro

Arrested were 40-year old Miguel Bustos Mata and 33-year old Rosa Montenegro.
