The evening of Thursday, May 28, 2020, a drive-by shooting took place in the area of Nevada and 6th Street in the city of San Juaquin, injuring a 22-year old male. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Fresno County Sheriff homicide detectives collaborated with members of the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium to develop leads. By Friday, detectives were serving search warrants at locations linked to three suspects, leading to their Saturday arrests.

The suspects are identified as 20-year old Kevin Rosales of Huron, 19-year old Luis Bravo-Edwardo of Huron, and 19-year old Esekuiel Ochoa-Felix of Coalinga.

While all three were arrested for attempted murder and participating in a gang, Rosales faces additional charges of carrying a loaded weapon and a probation violation. Rosales’ bail was set at $565,000; Bravo-Edwardo’s at $530,000; and Ochoa-Felix’s at $530,000.

This drive-by shooting comes in the wake of a fatal shooting which occurred just days prior, on May 26, in the same area. During that incident, 19-year old Yordy Urbieta of Tranquility, a non-gang member, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year old suspect has been arrested for Yordy’s murder, his name not released because of his legal status as a minor.

As of the time of this writing, Rosales, Bravo-Edwardo, and Ochoa-Felix remain in custody at the Fresno County Jail where they were booked.
