A male and female met a woman around 2PM at a home near East Clinton Avenue and First Street on May 13, 2020.

They had agreed via social medina to meet at the location so the pair could purchase marijuana from the woman.

Instead, the male, later identified as a 15-year old juvenile with gang affiliations, attacked the woman. He pistol whipped her with such force, it broke the handle of his firearm and caused a large laceration to the victim’s head.

The male then stole the drugs he had agreed to buy. The young woman was treated at a hospital.

Property detectives of the Fresno County Sheriff’s office became involved and tracked down the male suspect to a neighborhood near East Butler and South Cedar Avenues.

They spotted the teenager leaving in a vehicle. He was detained when detectives made a traffic stop. The BB-gun matching the one used during the robbery was located.

The boy was arrested for assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury, robbery, and aggravated battery. He was booked at the Juvenile Justice Center.
