The Placer County Sheriff’s Office came upon a man with materials related to identity theft in his car in Auburn –

“One of our deputies was patrolling the area of North Auburn early Sunday morning around four a.m., when he noticed a vehicle driving along Highway 49 with a defective license plate lamp and expired registration.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver, 40-year old Mckenzie Singer, of Sacramento.

Upon searching Singer’s vehicle, the deputy found numerous identification cards, driver’s licenses, tax documents, social security cards and other personal identifying information.

Singer was subsequently arrested and charged with identity theft and possession of stolen property.”
