Kern County deputies from the Delano substation made two arrests for illegal weapons in as many days late last month.

Just before 6 PM on April 27, deputies arrived on the 800 block of Teresa Court to investigate a reported domestic disturbance, ultimately arresting 23-year-old Marco Herrejon after reportedly catching him with a firearm equipped with a high-capacity magazine (pictured above).

Herrejon was booked on suspicion of domestic battery, child endangerment, possession of an illegal weapon, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.

Just after 11 PM the next night, April 28, deputies pulled over 36-year-old Jorge Bailon after noticing the plates on his vehicle were expired. Though deputies say he took his time, he eventually stopped near the intersection of Pond Road and Highway 43.

After discovering a loaded short-barreled rifle with a high-capacity magazine (pictured below) in the vehicle, deputies arrested and booked Bailon on suspicion of evading a peace officer and weapons violations.
