“San Mateo Police Department officers located and captured a suspect after witnesses reported him fleeing from a flipped over Toyota Prius on southbound US 101 at Eastbound SR92.

After running from the flipped over vehicle, the suspect broke into a nearby occupied RV where our officers located and arrested him. We learned this suspect was wanted in San Francisco for carjacking the Toyota Prius from its owner.

The suspect was transported to a local trauma center for injuries sustained from the car accident and turned over to both the San Francisco Police Department and California Highway Patrol. San Mateo PD will be pursuing burglary charges on this suspect.”
