PPD Collaborates with COTS and New City Outreach Team to Analyze River Clean Up

Here’s good news from the Petaluma Police Department about their part in a local cleanup –

“This week the Petaluma Police Department, COTS outreach staff and the City’s new Downtown Streets Team patrolled the Petaluma River and surrounding areas to identify the locations of homeless camps in our area.

The multi-organization objective is to analyze the resources needed for a comprehensive and safe cleanup.

These efforts ensure that the waterways are sanitary and safe for the entire city, while maintaining a compassionate approach to the challenges that homeless populations face during COVID-19.

Outreach teams are providing information and supplies to our homeless populations when contacted, to encourage safety in the community for all.
